Metro bus, minivan collision sends two to hospital

BUFFALO, NY – A Metro bus and a minivan collided Sunday night on Niagara Street at the intersection of Lafayette Avenue, according to NFTA spokesman Doug Hartmayer. One female passenger of the bus and the driver of the van were taken to Erie County Medical Center, but the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

Hartmayer said the minivan was making a turn onto Niagara Street from Lafayette when it collided with the southbound bus. There were eight passengers on the bus in addition to the operator.

The accident happened at about 9:45 p.m.
