Millard Fillmore Gates Developer Still Looking For Tenant

BUFFALO, NY - Millard Fillmore Gates Circle Hospital closed its doors more than a year ago. If you drive by it today, it looks exactly as it did then despite the fact that a new veterinary medical school was supposed to take over the former hospital.

Chason Affinity Group won the rights to the $65 million project. But according to Kaleida Health, the developer is still working to try and secure a veterinary school as a tenant. They are also still working to complete the real estate transaction and close the deal.

Another delay has to do with the building's assessment with the City of Buffalo.

A Kaleida spokesperson told us that they are optimistic that the deal should be complete in the next few weeks.

Buffalo Bites Food Tours, a unique walking and eating tour of one of Buffalo’s most historic districts, returns to the Elmwood Village for year two of culinary exploration and experimentation!

The three-hour walking tour, featuring stops at six popular restaurants and food-related shops, is the brainchild of Buffalo native Laura Reed, who brought the tour to Buffalo last year after experiencing a similar adventure in New York City. Before bringing her business to Buffalo she trained in Chicago with Food Tour Pros, a company that has helped entrepreneurs start food tours around the globe.

Lineup Announced for BuffaLoveFest at the Zoo

The Buffalo Zoo has announced the lineup for their inaugural BuffaLoveFest, an event featuring all things “Buffalo,” hosted by the Buffalo Zoo in association with Be Incorporated.

The event will feature live music from some of the area’s most popular bands including The Andrew J. Reimers country-punk extravaganza, Jony James Blues Band, local rock and roll favorites The Albrights, and honky tonk Americana legends The Steam Donkeys. The evening will kick off with a special performance by the BuffaLoveBirds all star band, featuring Lance Diamond, Caitlin Koch, Eric Crittenden, Vinnie DeRosa, Mike Wagner, and Rob Lynch.

BuffaLoveFest will also feature some of the area’s top food trucks: Black Market Food Truck, Frank Gourmet Hot Dogs, Lloyd Taco Truck, Roaming Buffalo, Rolling Joe’s Café, R&R Barbeque, and The Sweet Hearth.

Family of Thruway Fatal Crash Victims Want Answers

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- New York State Police believe the driver of a van that crashed on the Thruway Thursday morning may have fallen asleep while driving.

Less than a week after the triple fatal accident, relatives want a thorough investigation. State Police say a dump truck was parked in the center median, east of Silver Creek. Annabel Arroyo told 2 On Your Side, "we want to know where this truck was parked," claiming there are various conflicting reports.

State Police also say it appears that there were not enough child safety seats in the van for all of the children who needed them.
